Legal Officer

Job Description

Overview

We seek a resourceful and independent Junior Legal Officer to join our team. This position requires expertise and confidence in intellectual property rights, copyright law, and corporate law. As the sole legal professional in our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, supporting the company’s operations, and handling other legal matters as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and manage legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct legal research across diverse areas, as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate, taxation, collections, and labor regulations independently.
  • Prepare for legal proceedings and consultations.
  • Manage and organize legal documentation for easy access and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate directly with department heads to resolve legal concerns and provide expert advice.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. Candidates planning to take the bar exam soon may apply.
  • Expertise in intellectual property rights, copyright law, corporate law, collections, and labor law.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a corporate legal setting, ideally with experience handling diverse legal matters.
  • Familiarity with contract law and compliance regulations.
  • Membership in relevant legal associations or organizations.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong critical-thinking and decision-making abilities.
