In 1965, Luis Q. Abiva, Jr., then President and now Chairman of Abiva Publishing House, Inc. (APHI), introduced the SRA Reading Laboratory to the Philippines. After meeting with its inventor, Dr. Don H. Parker, Mr. Abiva brought this multi-leveled, independent reading program into Philippine classrooms, revolutionizing the way students engage with reading.
This initiative became a key part of Abiva’s enduring commitment to helping teachers help their students, providing educators with innovative tools to foster effective learning. Since then, Abiva has proudly served as the official distributor of SRA in the Philippines.
