At Abiva Publishing House, Inc. (“Abiva,” “we,” “us”), we value your trust. For more than 80 years, we have supported schools, teachers, parents, and learners through quality instructional resources. We process personal data based on your consent, the performance of a contract (such as order processing and delivery), compliance with legal obligations, and Abiva’s legitimate interests, provided these do not override your rights and freedoms.

This policy applies to our products, services, websites, forms, and activities that do not have a separate privacy notice.

We collect only the personal data that is necessary to deliver our products and services, respond to your inquiries, and meet legal and business requirements. Whenever possible, we clearly explain why we need your information at the point of collection.

We may share your personal data only when necessary and only for legitimate business purposes, such as:

a) Regular reviews of data privacy and security practices
b) Physical and electronic access controls
c) Confidentiality obligations for employees, contractors, and service providers

Personal data may be disclosed to authorized Abiva employees, affiliates, or trusted third-party service providers who are contractually required to protect your data. We do not share your personal data with external parties without your consent, unless disclosure is required or allowed by law.

Third-Party Categories: When necessary, we may share personal data with trusted service providers such as logistics partners, IT and cloud service providers, and other vendors who assist us in delivering our products and services.  These parties are contractually required to protect your personal data.

How We Retain and Dispose of Your Personal Data

We retain your personal data for six (6) months up to three (3) years from the date of your transaction or inquiry, or until the purpose for collection has been fulfilled.

In certain cases, we may retain data longer when required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Once no longer needed, personal data is securely disposed of or destroyed.

In the event of a personal data breach that may pose a risk to your rights and freedoms, Abiva will notify affected data subjects and the National Privacy Commission in accordance with the Data Privacy Act and NPC rules.

We implement appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures include:

a) Regular reviews of data privacy and security practices
b) Physical and electronic access controls

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw consent.

Right to Data Portability
You have the right to obtain a copy of your data in a commonly used format.

Right to Damages

Children’s and Students’ Privacy
